Cold Temperatures

High in the cold, mist-covered mountains of the Dominican Republic, our tobacco thrives at an average temperature of 10°C in our single farm-origin. These rare conditions extend the growing cycle to nearly twice the duration of traditional methods.
 
The result is tobacco of extraordinary quality — larger, richer leaves layered with refined sweetness, earthy undertones, and vibrant hues. Each leaf reflects the purity, patience, and craftsmanship that define the Altura experience.

Watering & Nutrition

Our commitment to precision extends beneath the soil. Through scientifically controlled irrigation and fertilization systems, we fine-tune every element that shapes our tobacco’s character.
 
This process ensures that every cigar delivers a smoking experience that is pure, balanced, and unmistakably Altura.

Craftsmanship

Aging & Fermentation

At Natura, precision meets patience. Each leaf undergoes a carefully monitored fermentation and aging process within climate-stabilized rooms, allowing the tobacco to evolve naturally. This long timeline is possible because the temperature inside the pilón (troja) never exceeds 25–28 °C (77-83°F)
 
Our artisans turn, test, and taste each batch, ensuring balance and refinement. The result is tobacco alive with depth, balance, and soul — a timeless expression of our single farm-origin craftsmanship. 

Extended
Aging & Drying

In the cold rainy mountains, time becomes our greatest ally. We extend the drying and aging process to twice the duration of conventional methods. Each leaf is tended by hand, preserving essential oils, nutrients, and pigments that define the Altura experience. 
 
Every cigar tells the story of its origin — crafted with devotion, precision, and time.

Rolling & Finishing

The Art of the

Each Natura cigar is shaped entirely by hand — a union of mastery and instinct. Our rollers, trained in generations of Dominican tradition, give each cigar its form, balance, and soul.
